This account from Today in Bajan History recalls a fatal accident investigated in January 1951, as reported by the Barbados Advocate. Fifty-five-year-old Gladstone Brown of St. George died after falling from the back of a lorry transporting heavy bales along Constance Road.
The Barbadian carries a proclamation for the apprehension of the enslaver John Harry Best.
