After slipping while crossing Broad Street near an Ice House delivery van, she later died from a cerebral hemorrhage. Witnesses testified that neither the horse nor van directly struck her, and medical evidence suggested she had significant underlying health issues. The jury ultimately returned a verdict of accidental death.
