The Barbados Agricultural Reporter reported on the death of 5-year-old Clement Roach of Porey Spring, St. Thomas, who was fatally injured after being struck by a horse-drawn carriage. After running across the road, Clement was knocked down and run over by a wheel of the carriage. Although he initially walked home, his injuries proved severe, and he died later that day from internal bleeding and shock.
