On March 9, 1969, Barbados held its second state funeral since Independence for Louis Albert Lynch, a transformative figure in education, sport, and public life. Hundreds, including Prime Minister Errol Barrow and Governor-General Sir Winston Scott, gathered to honour the 52-year-old educator, politician, and founder of Modern High School.
