The Barbados Advocate reported on the coroner’s inquest into the death of 19-year-old Raynaud Brewster, who was fatally crushed by a lorry at Francia Plantation, St. George. After hearing testimony from workers and the driver, the jury concluded that responsibility for the tragedy rested not with the experienced driver, Fitzherbert Douglas, but with fellow laborer Vernon Gooding, who was said to have instructed the vehicle to reverse.
