Show Notes

The Barbados Advocate reported on the opening of Barbados' first Police Girls' Club at Clevers Hill, St. Joseph. The initiative formed part of a wider effort by the police force to establish youth clubs across the island, providing positive activities and guidance for young people. Commissioner of Police Colonel R.T. Michelin envisioned a club in every parish and emphasized that police officers should be seen as advisors and helpers rather than figures to be feared.
